Students Take to the Airwaves with Hoxton Radio

A group of Year 7 and Year 9 students recently enjoyed an exciting opportunity to work with Hoxton Radio as part of a creative media workshop.

During the sessions, students learned how to create and develop their own podcast ideas, gaining valuable insight into the planning, production and presentation skills needed to engage an audience. They also had the chance to step behind the microphone and discover what it takes to present a radio show with confidence and creativity.

The workshop provided a fantastic opportunity for students to develop their communication skills, build confidence and explore the world of broadcasting. Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience, embracing every challenge and demonstrating impressive creativity and enthusiasm throughout.

David Harris, Founder of Hoxton Radio, was full of praise for the students, describing them as "exceptional, articulate, confident and interesting." He was particularly impressed by the way students shared their ideas, engaged with the activities and communicated with one another during the sessions.
