We believe every student should have access to a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities, including clubs, societies, events and trips. We want every student to be personally successful and these opportunities are a fantastic way to develop character, courage and conscience.
Our extra-curricular clubs and societies
We want every student to engage in at least one club or society so we make this as easy as possible. We do not require students to sign up in advance and all clubs are completely free. There is something for everyone and this is a great way to make new friends, learn new skills and build confidence.

We have our very own student magazine 'Voices on the Rye' where our students write about topics they are passionate about.
Our Artist in Residence Programme
We are passionate about art at Harris Girls' Academy and benefit from our partnership with our artists in residence. Every student is welcome to engage in this exciting programme. Our Resident Volleyball Coach
Our girls love sports and our resident, full time volleyball coach adds another layer of sporting brilliance to our physical education offer. Volleyball clubs run daily before school, during lunchtime and afterschool. Student who sign up for the programme also have access to fixtures, day trips and residentials.
Trips and visits – bringing learning to life
We also offer a variety of educational trips, with students benefiting from our close partnerships with city businesses, and the wealth of cultural opportunties in London. Our students visit places of historical and religious significance, galleries, museums, theatres and exhibitions. We run residential trips annually, with students visiting Belgium, Iceland, Venice Biennale, Rome, Lake District, and Wales to name a few.
Celebrating International Womens' Day
As a girls school we make a huge celebration of International Womens' Day annually. We have over 20+ female professionals deliver inspirational talks to our students from a range of industries. We believe you have to see it to be it and these events are hugely important in buildins aspiration and confidence. We have close relationships with our alumni who often volunteer their time to celebrate IWD with us.

Kings Scholars
We are proud partners with Kings College London and every year a new cohort of Kings Scholars benefit from The King’s Scholars Programme. Students are selected by the academy and the programme is designed to raise aspirations and open doors to higher education for our students. Through a series of engaging workshops, mentoring opportunities, and university visits, the programme helps students develop academic confidence, explore future pathways, and gain invaluable insight into life at a world-class university. By nurturing ambition and providing practical guidance, the King’s Scholars Programme empowers our students to aim high and achieve their full potential.
