Celebrating World Mental Health Day

Celebrating World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day at HGAED

To mark World Mental Health Day, students and staff at HGAED came together to raise awareness of the importance of positive mental health and wellbeing.

Our fantastic Mental Health Ambassadors took the lead in organising activities across the academy. They distributed yellow hearts to every coaching group, giving students the opportunity to write positive messages of kindness, encouragement and support for one another. The inspiring messages highlighted the importance of looking after ourselves and each other, helping to create a strong sense of community throughout the school.

Students and staff also wore yellow ribbons as a symbol of support for mental health awareness. The ribbons served as a visible reminder that nobody should face challenges alone and that talking about mental health is both important and encouraged.

The day was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the value of kindness, connection and support, and demonstrated HGAED's commitment to ensuring every student feels seen, heard and valued. A huge thank you to our Mental Health Ambassadors for leading such a meaningful and impactful event.
