New Year 7 2026 - Welcome to HGAED

Dear Parents and Carers of our Year 7 September 2026, 

Congratulations and welcome to Harris Girls’ Academy East Dulwich (HGAED)! We are delighted your child will be joining our outstanding school in September 2026. You have made an excellent choice, and we look forward to welcoming you and your child into our community. HGAED is a truly special place.  

We recognise that starting secondary school can feel both daunting and exciting and it is entirely normal for children and families to feel apprehensive about the start of secondary school.

We will send you emails over the next few months where you will learn a little bit more about our brilliant academy before more formal introductions at our Afternoon Tea event in April 2026. Our correspondence is always sent from transition@harrisdulwichgirls.org.uk. We also have lots of information on our website regarding uniform, term dates, the academy day, etc but please be reassured that will we walk you through all of this information well ahead of September 2026.

I hope you feel reassured that your educational journey with us will be filled with opportunities and happiness. We are looking forward to meeting you.
