Clubs are updated each half term and give the students an opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities. The clubs are varied to ensure different abilities, interests and needs are met.

It is very important that young people participate in physical activity each day as it benefits their physical and mental well-being. The habits they form as young people will help shape a healthy lifestyle in the future. We encourage students to attend clubs regularly to meet the daily recommended level of physical activity, in a fun and safe environment.

The clubs are also a great opportunity for GSCE students to receive further assistance to increase their physical fitness and skill acquisition. Students also represent the academy at Secondary School Competitions within the borough and federation influencing high levels of performance and developing positive sporting behaviours.

It is important to know that the clubs are set up for all girls at HGAED to enjoy and it does not matter about previous experience or ability, everyone is welcome.

School trips are important part too, with over half our students experience at least one trip each year, and often more.

Read reports of our recent school trips and visits to our academy from a wide range of organisations to enrich students' learning. As part of our commitment to tackling inequality, we make sure all students benefit equally from the learning experiences that trips offer.

Is there a club you would like us to run? Please let us know if you have a group of six or more who would like a particular club to be set up and we will consider your request.
