The Academy Day

The academy operates a weekly timetable of 26 lessons for all Key Stage 3 and 4 students. There are six one-hour lessons on a Monday and five one-hour lessons every other day of the week. We run our PSHE programme and Year 11 intervention programme in 30 minute slots every day of the week, in Coaching Time. Assemblies are also delivered at this time.

Students should arrive on site by 8:30am at the latest every day. The site is open for students to study in the library from 7:30am.

A range of after school clubs run at the end of the academy day. The library is open on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until 5:30pm and until 4:30pm on a Thursday and Friday.

Evening School

Evening School is run most nights of the week by staff who expect students at Key Stage 4 to attend as notified for additional support and intervention. There is a timetable for Evening School put together by the Vice Principal. This will be sent home in September.

Residential trips and holiday programmes

The academy runs some residential trips and holiday learning days for groups of students. We expect students who are invited to these to attend them, in order to maximise their opportunities for learning.

Saturday tuition

The academy offers very few sessions on Saturday. You will be made aware if your daughter would benefit from an additional intervention session on a Saturday and we would very much expect your daughter to attend a session if invited.
