Our Year 10 students recently took part in an exciting and highly rewarding Mock Trial competition at the Inner London Crown Court. The day provided a fantastic opportunity for students to experience the workings of the legal system first-hand, inside a real courtroom setting.

What a fantastic trip to Harry Potter World with our Year 7's! The day was filled with magic and wonder, as they entered the fictional universe. The snow edition has really got us in the mood for winter at HGAED!

Federation netball champions

Harris Girls' Academy East Dulwich has won the Harris Federation Netball Tournament, which took place at the Harris Academy Bermondsey on the 16th January 2013.

In the first four matches, we won three and drew one, which secured us a place in the semi-finals. There we faced Harris Academy Falconwood and some excellent shooting from Deztine Edwards and Binute Freeman meant that we won 5-1 and went through to the final.

In the final we were up against Harris Academy Merton and a very tough match. Exellent play by both teams saw the final score four all at the end of ordinary time.

We went into extra time and some strong defence and superb shooting made the final score 7-4 to us! We held the trophy high after winning the tournament and playing exceptionally well.

Player of the tournament went to Thian Yap who played excellently at centre throughout the whole day.
