Our Year 10 students recently took part in an exciting and highly rewarding Mock Trial competition at the Inner London Crown Court. The day provided a fantastic opportunity for students to experience the workings of the legal system first-hand, inside a real courtroom setting.

What a fantastic trip to Harry Potter World with our Year 7's! The day was filled with magic and wonder, as they entered the fictional universe. The snow edition has really got us in the mood for winter at HGAED!

Today marks the last day of Anti-Bullying Week, and we’re learning how to recognise when someone might be experiencing bullying. Look out for changes in mood, behaviour, confidence, or friendships and always speak to a trusted adult if you’re worried about someone.  Video

Health Fair 2013 - special report

Our 2013 Health Fair, created by Year 12 Health and Social Care students, was absolutely brilliant, and the students from lower down the school who attended went back to class raving about how much they had learned.

The Health Fair was organised by Year 12 BTEC Health and Social care Students, PC Marcus, Hayley Birch and her sports leaders and Sarah Thompson representing the Health Hut.

What was really impressive was how our Year 12 BTEC students successfully engaged all the girls having planned some really great resources to support their health message.

Particular thanks also goes to Kate for organising and working with the year 12 BTEC students over the last few weeks, Selina for spending much of her free time today supporting the event, PC Marcus for his time and his anti-gang message, Hayley Birch for organising the sports leaders and mini sports events, Sarah for supporting many of the year 12 students, Sandra for organising catering and Adrian for doing a stunning job on graphics and posters.
