Snap, Chat, Tweet, Repeat

Today a group of students attended a performance and workshop delivered by London Bubble Theatre Company on the effects of social media.

The performance was called Snap, Chat, Tweet, Repeat. When Sophia likes a picture on Instagram, she has no idea of the trouble it will cause. A quick decision made in the palm of her hand soon catches up with her in at school and at home. Unsure who she can trust and who her friends are, Sophia switches off from the real world and seeks solace on Facebook, only to find that life online can be equally cruel.

After the performance students explored the issues raised during workshops. Marie Vickers, Project Leader, Young People's Programmes London Bubble Theatre Company said: "We had a fantastic experience at HGAED again today. The girls were knowledgeable, mature and enthusiastic. The way in which they engaged with the subject matter and shared their opinions with confidence was just great. It was clear that they had really paid attention to the performance as they were able to give detailed advice to the characters at the end of the workshop. Thank you for making us feel welcome, we look forward to coming back again soon."
