River and Race in Huckleberry Finn - Lecture

Huck Finn 1

One of Goldsmiths University's English professors, Padraig Kirwan, delivered a fascinating lecture for our students on the significance of the river and race in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, which our AS Level English Literature students are studying for their summer exams.

Called A Raft of Trouble, the talk provided excellent expert academic research for students to use in their own writing.

"It was the best and most useful presentations of its kind I have seen - I felt like a kid at Christmas watching it myself," said Mr Jackson, Head of English. "The students all really enjoyed it and got lots of useful notes for their mocks next week and their AS exams in the summer."
