Our Year 10 students recently took part in an exciting and highly rewarding Mock Trial competition at the Inner London Crown Court. The day provided a fantastic opportunity for students to experience the workings of the legal system first-hand, inside a real courtroom setting.

Inter-House Basketball Competitions

This term saw the second instalment our inter-house competitions, with the introduction of basketball. All of Year 7-10 were given the opportunity to take part and there was some fantastic talent seen throughout the competitions.

Year 7 started the term off with their competition on Tuesday 26th January. Manchester, Imperial and Oriel houses battled it out to win the title of Year 7 champions. Storming ahead into first place was Manchester house with a whopping 310 points, in at second was Imperial with 180 points and last place was Oriel with 160 points.

Year 8 competed on Tuesday 9th February to practice their basketball skills and support their house. Results concluded that Manchester came first, followed by Oriel and Imperial came third.

Year 9 and 10 took to the court for their competition on Tuesday 1st March where two teams took part; Manchester and Kings. The results were close but Manchester beat Kings by four goals.

Well done to every student who took part in the spring term inter-house basketball games. Watch this space to find out what sport the summer term will host to our students…
