GCSE Results 2017 - News and Pictures

Results day 2017 (10)Harris Girlsโ€™ Academy East Dulwich had another excellent year, with a quarter of grades in English Literature at the new 7-9 grade.

Carrie Senior, Principal of Harris Girlโ€™s Academy East Dulwich (pictured, right), said: โ€œWeโ€™re absolutely delighted with the girlsโ€™ exceptional GCSE results. They are well deserved and a reflection of the hard work and dedication of both the students and staff.

At 40%, our Ebacc score (A*-C or 5 and above in the core academic subjects) remains significantly above the national average of 23%. In science, more than half of the girls who took โ€˜tripleโ€™ science (biology, chemistry and physics) achieved an A*/A.

An exceptional 100% of students who took the Latin GCSE received an A* or an A.

"Despite the added challenge of the new marking system, the girlsโ€™ have gone above and beyond our expectations," said Ms Senior. "I wish them all the very best of luck as they progress into sixth form and further education. Well done!โ€
