GCSE Results 2017 - News and Pictures

Results day 2017 (10)Harris Girls’ Academy East Dulwich had another excellent year, with a quarter of grades in English Literature at the new 7-9 grade.

Carrie Senior, Principal of Harris Girl’s Academy East Dulwich (pictured, right), said: “We’re absolutely delighted with the girls’ exceptional GCSE results. They are well deserved and a reflection of the hard work and dedication of both the students and staff.

At 40%, our Ebacc score (A*-C or 5 and above in the core academic subjects) remains significantly above the national average of 23%. In science, more than half of the girls who took ‘triple’ science (biology, chemistry and physics) achieved an A*/A.

An exceptional 100% of students who took the Latin GCSE received an A* or an A.

"Despite the added challenge of the new marking system, the girls’ have gone above and beyond our expectations," said Ms Senior. "I wish them all the very best of luck as they progress into sixth form and further education. Well done!”
