Dance Empowerment Day - Dare 2 Dance

A special Dance Empowerment Day took place at the end of May, with 48 students from years 7-10 enjoying a day of dance and fun.

Students were able to show off the skills and techniques they had learnt or practiced in dance lessons as well as learning new exciting styles of dance too.

Visitors from the national Dare 2 Dance programme were really impressed with our student’s abilities to replicate their routines and ideas in breaking, locking and hip hop. Our girls were able to perform at the end of the day and also enjoyed a special performance by the Dare 2 Dance team.

The day was inspiring and a great start to our dance club that ran over the Summer 2 half term. Students that attended the dance club will be performing in July in Peckham.
