Mix Up’s First Broadcast

The ever-growing radio group has launched a brand new show, on www.reprezent.org.uk. The new radio group ‘Mix Up’ broadcast for the first time on Thursday.

‘Mix Up’ consists of  seven year 11 students: Phyllys Egharevba, Seraya Bygrave, Lois Aikins, Diana Kaate, Nkiru Okonne, Anisa Kennar and Valerie Agbawe. They will be recording shows once a fortnight, and learning all the professional skills needed to be a presenter and producer.

The first students to broadcast were Phyllys, Seraya and Lois. Phyllys commented that it was ‘a brilliant experience!’ Seraya added: ‘it was really fun and interesting. I was nervous but as it went on I felt myself really grow in confidence.’

The rest of the group will be broadcasting on Thursday. Watch this space for their show.

'Mix Up' are following in the footsteps of the hugely successful 'Connect' group, who broadcast weekly on 107.3 FM, 5-6pm every Thursday.

You can also hear the radio group every Friday across the Academy at break time.
