LAMDA Acting Classes Start For Year 7

LAMDA acting classes will be available for all Year 7 students at Harris Girls' Academy as an after-school club following the February half term.

LamdaLAMDA is one of the UK’s oldest and most respected awarding bodies for speech and drama. The LAMDA qualification is extremely beneficial to young people as it helps them develop confidence, overcome nerves, and gain a range of life skills which will be valuable for their futures.

The LAMDA classes at Harris Girls Academy will be delivered by Armstrong Speech and Drama and will take place for 30 minutes at a set time on a weekly basis.

Students will follow LAMDA’s acting syllabus and will explore a variety of monologues and duologues throughout the year, working towards an optional graded LAMDA exam.

Further details about how to join, and the cost (including support for those who are entitled to free school meals) will be added here shortly.
