Year 6 Transition Day - Report & Pictures

We welcomed over 130 students from Year 6, along with their families, to our annual Year 6 Transition Day event on 5th July.

The day started with a presentation by our Principal, Ms Young, and Assistant Principal for Transition, Mr Bonful, as well as speeches delivered by our Year 11 Head Prefects.

Transition 1The prefects gave their advice to the Year 6 pupils on how to be successful in the academy based on their five years' of experience of being students here.

Year 6 students were then taken on tours and took part in an Information Hunt activity, in which they had to answer questions based on the various facts found across the academy.

Students then participated in taster lessons in various subjects including Drama, Music, Food Technology, Art, and inter-house sports using our amazing sports facilities.

The students really enjoyed themselves and we are very excited to welcome them all in September!
