Science Week 2024 – All About TIME
The theme for Science Week 2024 was TIME. During Science Week in March students had fun making clock towers, roller coasters (seeing how fast they travel in a given time) and hourglass sand timers (but using water instead of sand).
Other students spent time with external science ambassadors exploring time in space and careers in technology.
Science plays a vital role in our everyday existence, so an understanding of science is essential as it helps us understand life and broadens our horizons.
Science also contributes to ensuring a longer and healthier life, helps us monitor our health, provides medicine to cure our diseases, alleviates aches and pains, helps us to provide water for our basic needs – including our food – provides energy and makes life more fun, including in the fields of sport, music and entertainment.
