Governance & Scheme of Delegation (Academies)

We have a joint governing body with Harris Boys' Academy East Dulwich. The Governing Body is responsible, with the Principal, for setting and monitoring the educational direction of the academy and the targets to be achieved over time.

Our governors and the areas for which they have particular responsibility (in brackets) are listed below.

All governors can be contacted via Jenny Kirby, HR Manager and Clerk to the Governors, on j.kirby@harrisdulwichboys.org.uk

The Academy is a member of the Harris Federation. Ultimate responsibility for the Academy rests with the Board of Trustees of the Federation (find out more about the Federation governance and scheme of delegation), but much of the work of the Board is delegated to the Local Governing Body (the Governors of the Academy). Some Governors are appointed by the Federation whilst others are elected by parents or guardians of students at the Academy or by staff.

Chair of Governors Katharine Wootton can be contacted via the Academy’s address Harris Girls Academy East Dulwich, Homestall Road, London SE22 0NR. The details of the Governors at Harris Girls' Academy East Dulwich are shown below.

See our governors information on the Get Information About Schools website.
