GCSE Success for HGAED Girls

Huge congratulations to our GCSE class of 2021 and to our wonderful parents, carers and teachers who have supported the girls through such a tumultuous two years.

It’s a very proud moment for me as Principal, as these GCSE results belong to my first ever cohort of Year 7 as Principal of HGAED. What a five years it has been with this passionate, entertaining and hardworking bunch!!

We are delighted that their results reflect their hard work and determination to succeed, through two lockdowns, multiple periods for some of isolating at home and huge adjustments to how they learn. A thank you also to their teachers, teaching assistants and our support staff, who helped our girls carry on learning throughout.

There are so many girls who deserve our praise today. Amongst many, many others, we’d  like to celebrate Kaziwa and Habibah, who attained a crop of 7-9 grades, despite having to complete lockdown studies in a different time zone as they were stuck overseas. We’re delighted for Gayatri, who joined the academy from overseas at the start of Year 11 and attained 9 GCSEs at grade 8 and above, pictured here with Maryam, who attained 11 GCSE grades at grade 8 and above.
