South Thames College Trip for Years 10 And 11
Students from Years 10 and 11 were lucky enough to be invited to South Thames College for the day recently.
During this trip they had a talk from the college's partnership co-ordinator who outlined the different pathways available to them upon completing their GCSEs.
Pupils were also able to learn about the different courses available at the college and how these are an alternative to the more traditional route of A levels. They learned about what outcomes the courses offer and the career paths that can be taken.
Pupils were then split into groups to get a more in-depth look into a course offered, choosing from Health & Beauty, Health & Social Care and Beauty Therapy. The girls gained some hands on-experience as to what the study of this subject looked like as well as advice from staff who deliver the course.
Alongside this, pupils were also given a tour of the site, its lecture halls and other facilities that they could enjoy if they chose to study there.
